KRAKOW 1-2.11.2002
1st of November, Friday Early morning, at 5.44 a.m. came the train from Prague with Paris Group (English school in the capital town of France). By our coach went the group from railway station direct to hotel for check in. They had breakfast at hotel's restaurant and about three hours for shower and relax. It was necessary, because the pupils were tired. With our guide Agnieszka has started guided walking tour of Kazimierz district with Isaac Synagogue, wartime ghetto with its Schindler's Factory and Mr.Pankiewicz Pharmacy Museum. The weather still changed - sun and a few minutes later rain and wind. Not all pupils had good clothes for Polish climate. For lunch all tested typical Polish dishes - bigos and pierogi. Afternoon free for shopping. The dinner at our old "Dragons Cave" restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
2nd of November, Saturday After the breakfast the group went by our coach to Oswiecim for visit to Auschwitz and Birkenau wartime concentrations camps, equipped with fine packed lunches. After visiting with very bad weather - return to Krakow and free time for individual sight-seeing and shopping. On the evening we had tested the new restaurant very fine located by Main Square. The food was excellent. And the owner served for teachers a special welcome-drink (famous Goldwater from Gdansk). The last walk through the beautiful Krakow's streets and coach transfer to the Main Railway Station Krakow. At 21.10 Intercity train started with the sleeping car of Paris Group - to Berlin. We look your visit next year, friends. You have promised!
